Just rediscovered Social Distortion the other day, heard a song in a video and was thinking "wtf I don't have that on mp3?!?". Turns out I never reacquired my Social Distortion music after my CD's took a trip into the ocean... so listening to them again for the first time in 12-13 years \o/

Seems that "Thunderstruck" is about to become a hit in Iran...

Both of Bon Iver's albums are great, anyway ill post some of my favourites. These are songs that you might have to listen to a few times.

Beth/Rest: Has that great 80's feel to it.

Holocene: One of Norlander's joints would go along well with this song smiley

For Emma:

Skinny Love: Might have posted this one before somewhere.

Bon Iver is on page 1 of this thread, but great with an update, new album since I posted that.

Still annoyed about Roskilde deciding to overlap the Bon Iver and Bruce Springsteen concerts. There were more then just me who really wanted to enjoy both.

As you may have noticed, the hack to stop certain YouTube videos from autoplaying is not working anymore. Blame YouTube. Maybe I can find a new fix for it, but until then we'll just have to deal with it.

This is weird, but also, awesome.

alt-J (∆) - Fitzpleasure

Lyrics:
Tralala, in your snatch fits pleasure, broom-shaped pleasure,
Deep greedy and Googling every corner.
Dead in the middle of the C-O-double-M-O-N,
Little did I know then that the Mandela Boys soon became Mandela Men.
Tall woman, pull the pylons down
And wrap them around the necks of all the feckless men that queue to be next.
Steepled fingers, ring leaders, queue jumpers, rock fist paper scissors, lingered fluffers.
In your hoof lies the heartland
Where we tent for our treasure, pleasure, leisure, les yeux, it's all in your eyes.
In your snatch fits pleasure, broom-shaped pleasure,
Deep greedy and Googling every corner,
Blended by the lights.

When do artists fall out of the category "that people might not know about" ???

This brings back memories of joyriding the streets of El Puerto de Santa Maria in a heavily modified BMW 1-series with a decidedly not sober American behind the wheel.
