I like beginning my browsing with a new tab page, and then I click on my recent links - or what links the browser allows me to save there. Trouble is, none of the major browsers seem to let you control this page yourself. You can add a limited amount of links and usually have to live with some commercial content.
As a vibe-coding project, I decided to make my own new tab page as a brave/chrome extension that looks like this:

only took a couple of hours to do and I'm fairly happy with it - at least it covers my needs.
