It looks cool for a film-school project. Have they actually made it, or is it just a spoof?

It is indeed a school-project. A friend of mine, Bjarki Thomsen made it as his graduation-project from the media-school. It is a 15 minute short-film.
He has been on a film-festival in Hollywood recently and will be going back there in october to promote it.
It was shown in the movies in Thorshavn a while back.
