What's a another good search engine that doesn't censor the results
Jogvanth on December 03 2009 15:45:45
Uhm...I think you've misunderstood the article.

Google doesn't censor its results (except in Iran and China etc.) It will just make it, so that if you normally would have to pay for what it is you googled, then you won't be able to gain 'free' access to the same material through Google.

I think Jógvanth is right and Roffen wrongsmiley

Google used to be a good way for some people to access hidden content (i.e. login-protected content) and bypassing security. I know people who have had sensitive information on their web-pages (password/login protected), but who discovered, that by using appropriate google-searches anyone could read/see it. -I think this seriously affected the way people considered security on their websites.

I think what google is doing now is stop people using this to read articles that were supposed to be for paying customers only.

Thanks Laluu.

You are right in that I'm right. To show Roffen (and others) what we mean, here is a clip that shows just one such hack. Dunno if it actually works, haven't tried it.

works with no issues in normal version of Firefox. I'm guessing you either did not do CTRL+F5 or are using some adblock plugin.

Use Firefox and it blocks all sorts of unwanted stuff of course.

They all look... off. Incongruous, lacking personality and identity... Know what I mean?
