I am hoping to buy it this weekend, but [deity name] knows when I'll find the time to actually play.

It seems to have received really good reviews, e.g. 9/10 from GameSpot:

well hexes are cool, one unit per tile as well. But the rest is very simplified compared to civ 4.

I did buy it last week and have played a few hours.
It is quite different to previous civ-games. Reminds me a little of the old SSI games like "Panzer General".
It also seems a lot slower than previous games in some respects (e.g. the city states slow things down a bit), but I guess that's just because I'm new to it. It also seems strange to have a Civ game that doesn't encourage/demand that you expand really fast.

The big problem is that it is very buggy. I think it installs patches and such automatically through Steam, but my impression is that a lot of people are still waiting for a lot of issues to be resolved. In my case, the game ran fine the first couple of sessions, and then on the 3rd or 4th load the map was a grey/blue blur.

Overall, I think it'll be a good game, but am not even close to being convinced yet.

For some reason only 2 photos the Brugge album now, something might have gotten lost over the years and transfers of hosts, etc.

I'm pretty sure we had more photo albums, like Bruges and Dubrovnik.

works with no issues in normal version of Firefox. I'm guessing you either did not do CTRL+F5 or are using some adblock plugin.
