This is a very good feature, even though it requires an "advanced" phone.
However, I wonder how many accounts are hacked because of weak passwords and brute force and how many are hacked using programming exploits.

my windows mobile 6 phone won't be able to use it

This should work for any phone as you can get a call or sms instead of using a dedicated app.
Hackers exploiting a vulnerability in the login process (i.e. not just using brute force) may still be shut down by this, simply because the two-factor adds another factor to the process.

I agree, this is a very good precaution, but as always, it's not failsafe.
I'm going to be checking out the sms-service.

How many of us have had problems with hackers and need increased security in our accounts? Personally, I don't see the need at the moment.

You're right. Let's wait until we're hacked and then increase security...

Norlander 08/06/2026 20:52 For some reason only 2 photos the Brugge album now, something might have gotten lost over the years and transfers of hosts, etc.
OKJones 08/06/2026 09:53 I'm pretty sure we had more photo albums, like Bruges and Dubrovnik.
