Nice read, but not much new, apart from one study saying it might be bigger than expected. The last big one from Yellowstone is not the biggest volcanic eruption in recent geological times, Toba holds that distinction, being a volcano of a scale which doesn't happen more than once per 25 million years. Since it happened 70000 years ago, we're in for a long wait
That being said I very much believe that most people forget about these "low probability, high impact events", only one of which will severely change civilization as we know it.
