Steve Jobs 1955-2011 | Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. |

Breaking: Gongumenn News Taken Down. Read all about it! | At approximately 21:07 last night, a certain sysadmin, who shall remain unnamed, decided that the news was no longer news. No longer will the Gongumenn be informed about Osama bin Laden's demise, or Denmark's spacefaring capabilities.
There was a huge uproar among the loyal patrons, an uproar that was perhaps best embodied by one patron who exclaimed "Boo". Other patrons voiced approval. The vast majority, however, brandished a mixture of ambivalence and disinterest.
What is to be of the News section to which we have become so accustomed? Will there come a time when lack of news and activity will leave a gaping void on the front page as a solemn reminder of our apathy and indifference? Will we lie dying in our beds many years from now, willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our news, but they'll never take our freedom!!
Only time will tell.

Denmark, a Spacefaring Nation |  Today, June 2nd 2011 at 16.32, Denmark made it's first sucessful test with it's spaceship, Heat-X1 - Tycho Brahe.
After the first initial failed attempt, this second attempt was a complete success. The goal was to reach a height of around 15km, and though it's not yet sure exactly how high the rocket flew, the result still remains a complete success.
